Note Durations Explained

This is similar to my How to Read Music tutorial.
I get a lot of questions regarding note durations. The idea is that the flag is what tells you how long you should play a note. In addition, the note head also dictates the duration. Watch the video above, and you’ll be good to go!

Man, you have a way of showing people like my self who really doesn’t know that much about Guitar playing but are eager to learn, a really cool and simple way of teaching about the guitar.
Your teachings on Arpeggios was so simple and yet I could not get it with all these books, CDs, and DVDs I have. But you explained it so simply. I am so honored to meet you.. Currently I am unemployed as a sheet metal worker here in Fort Worth, Texas. have been lately diagnosed with COPD, Asthma, and Emphysema I’m also drawing I am receiving unemployment which isn’t much it but I will take a little bit of that and donate it to you so that you can continue your unique style of teaching.
You seem to be the coolest person out there and for this 49 year old guy who writes to you, you have really made and profound impression on me. It wont be too much but it’ll be something to help out. I enjoy watching your demonstrations and I was also wondering if you sell DVDs on your courses, I’d like to save for them and buy them from you. Here in Fort Worth, Texas there’s a place called Half Price books. There, they have many, many Guitar CD, DVDs, and books I have bought over the last 6 months and none of them have taught me in a way such as you have so thoroughly.
I like you a lot and I hope that as time goes we can become friends and I would do everything in my power to come up with a little money for your donations. I know there must be hundreds of thousand of guys just like me who love the guitar but can only play the lower chords. I’m ready for more but I think I better familiarize my self a little more with my fret board as far as learning where the notes are in every single fret and string.
Thank you very much, You are unique and very blessed at the way you show people what sus means, what add 9 and stuff means. In 25 books, 12 CDs and two DVDs none of these guys have taught me what I wanted to know as fast as you have.
Thank you.
