Note: I no longer update this website because I now focus all of my efforts on http://ForOrchestra.com where I arrange pop songs for orchestra.
What’s your Bio?
I received an Associate’s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia for Music Composition. Then I was labeled ‘The Internet’s Music Teacher’ after consistently creating a fleet of dedicated viewers as I shared my lessons, passion, and knowledge of Music Technology, Guitar, Piano, News, Interviews, and more every day to people. I received alot of press because of it too.
On October 4, 2007 I self-published my CD titled ‘I.I’ which was written for a full orchestra. Then I began broadcasting weekly on ‘Your Daily Music Lesson with Walt’, a live class that has been featured on Apple’s iPhone and Ustream’s Front Page. Currently I teach over 4,000 Twitter Followers, 175,000 viewers/students and over 12,200 Youtube subscribers.
In October 2009 I started For Orchestra, a website where I arrange pop songs for orchestra. I’ve done songs by Lady Gaga, Madonna, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, The Cure, and more. Check it out.
I used to host a music show on the exclusive Revision 3 Beta Channel and I was the NYC Organizer for Revision3 and Diggnation events throughout NYC.
As a writer for the orchestra, I’m a big music education supporter, and was chosen as DonorsChoose.org’s Charity Bloggers Challenge for Music Education in 2008, and I stay busy working on many, many projects.
