Walt Ribeiro’s teaching style has created an entire community of those interested in music or not. Inspired by the sounds of Frank Zappa and Pearl Jam, he started playing guitar at age 16, and received an Associate’s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia for Music Composition. ‘The Internet’s Music Teacher’ has consistently created a fleet of dedicated viewers as he shares his lessons, passion, and knowledge of Music Technology, Guitar, Piano, News, Interviews, and more every day.
On October 4, 2007 his self-published CD titled ‘I.I’ was written for a full orchestra. He broadcasts weekly on ‘Your Daily Music Lesson with Walt’, a live class that has been featured on Apple’s iPhone and Ustream’s Front Page. He currently teaches over 3,200 Twitter Followers, 175,000 viewers/students and over 7,200 Youtube subscribers (as of July 2009) and other RSS followers.

Walt is on the exclusive Revision 3 Beta Channel and is also the NYC Organizer for Revision3 and Diggnation events throughout the city.
He and won’t rest until every student in the world has their music questions answered.
As a writer for the orchestra, Walt is a big music education supporter, and was chosen as DonorsChoose.org’s Charity Bloggers Challenge for Music Education in 2008. Walt’s music is used for many purposes, and he stays busy working on many, many projects.
